About My Practice

I am a psychotherapist who has been in private practice in Virginia for over thirty years. I serve clients state-wide through Telehealth counseling as well as in-person from my farm in Troy, Virginia (15 miles east of Charlottesville) and office in Carytown in Richmond.

I work with teens 14 and older, young adults, adults, couples, and families. My clients present with a wide variety of thinking and behaviors which may have once helped them to feel safe but are now barriers to their emotional well-being.

I am a fee-for-service, solo practice. I do not accept insurance, but I can provide a completed quick claim for you to submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits.

I work both virtually and in-person from my farm in Troy, Virginia, as well as from my Carytown office space. I have an office on my farm and also work outside if you prefer, weather permitting. Some clients choose to combine in-person and virtual services. What follows is a glimpse of Poorhouse Farm, a historical property that once served as home to some of the poor in Fluvanna County.
